2Polarities offers an opportunity to help persons in financial need gain access to support by providing therapeutic agencies with donated funds. We hope to build a community for individuals, families, and friends who have felt the effects of bipolar disorder.

The Current State of Bipolar Disorder

It's been said that, “Bipolar is like being on a roller coaster ride. Sometimes you can predict drop offs and others you just have to hang on because the next turn sends you into an unexpected spiral. Sometimes you are laughing and throwing your hands in the air and then other times you are clinging, simply holding on for dear life screaming at the top of your lungs.” Here's a few statistics that may surprise you:

Bipolar disorder affects approximately 5.7 million adult Americans, or about 2.6% of the U.S. population age 18 and older every year.” (National Institute of Mental Health).

Meet Lloyd

Lloyd Brown was  diagnosed with manic Bipolar Disorder at 57 years of age after struggling his whole life with something he could not articulate. His life changed in one moment, but through encounters with people all over the world who are living with and have been impacted by bipolar disorder; he decided to start 2Polarities in 2011 to be an outlet for hope for those affected by bipolar disorder.
